Nepal Flash Flood

On the morning of Wednesday 26th August 2026 (local time), a catastrophic flash flood generated by glacial collapse took thousands of lives and thousands are still missing at the time of writing this news. We are devastated by the news. We are thinking about the lives lost and those who are still missing, both Nepali citizens and our overseas friends. At this difficult time, we want to acknowledge all who continue to actively offer help and support. We express our gratitude to all donors who have financially supported Nepal. We acknowledge the New Zealand Government for their humanitarian support. We wish for more recoveries similar to those reported on the 10th and 11th day of the incident. From NZNCC we continue to contribute in whatever ways we can by offering support both at individual and institutional levels.
