Business Connect (Auckland): Business After 5

'It was a pleasure attending your event last evening. The atmosphere was cheerful and refreshing—something truly different and enjoyable.' That's the feedback we received in your email this morning from one of the attendees of our flagship networking event. By far the largest attendance, local MP Mr Palo Garcia shared a story about a high-level business delegation from New Zealand to the Philippines. In that story, the MP highlighted how the nuances of human connection play a key role in the success of such delegation.

Business Growth Programme (July 2026)

We launched our brand new initiative today. Business Growth Programme intends to help NZNCC members engage with each other in a structured, professional and respectful environment. NZNCC is offering this programme to help our members grow their business. FAQ about Business Growth Programme: 1. What is the Business Growth Programme ? The Business Growth Programme is a platform where NZNCC members engage with eachother in a structured, professional and respectful environment. 2. Why is NZNCC doing this? NZNCC is offering this programme to help our members grow their business. One of the purposes of NZNCC is to provide assistance to its members. 3. Why should I take part in the Business Growth Programme? If you want to engage with business owners to seek opportunities to grow your business revenue, Business Growth Programme is for you. 4. How does it work? Members come together at online meetings to proactively learn and educate specific details about each others’ business. Based on this learned information, connect members with potential leads within their network. Members help each other generate referrals. 5. How do I refer to a member's business in my network? If you have a person in your network who is seeking a service that a member provides, you initially have a conversation with that person about the member’s service. If the service offered and sought matches, you connect the member and the person by sharing their contact details with their permission. 6. Give an example about how a referral generation looks like in real life. Please see the event graphics 7. What do I do after I receive a referral? After you receive a referral, you contact the lead as soon as possible. As a courtesy, acknowledge your referee and keep them updated about progress. 8. Why should I help other members to grow their business? If you help others, they are more likely to help you in return. What goes around comes around. 9. What is expected from me if I take part in the Business Growth Programme? Learn as much as you can about other members’ business. Educate other members about your business and services in simple plain language. You might not fully learn or educate about your businesses from a single interaction. You would most probably need to engage a few times before you clearly understand each others’ services. You would need to connect with each other outside the Business Growth Programme meetings. Once you are confident that you know enough about each others’ services, you would proactively seek potential leads for the other members within your network. 10. When and where do the meetings of the Business Growth Programme take place? Meetings are planned to occur online once every month on the first Tuesday of the month. At the end of each meeting, full and final details of the subsequent next meeting will be provided. 11. Does NZNCC guarantee that my business revenue will increase after I take part in the Business Growth Programme? NZNCC is giving you a platform. We are helping you to connect with potential clients, generate leads, and give and receive referrals. As with similar networking platforms, NZNCC does guarantee your revenue will increase. It is up to the member how they approach the Business Growth Programme, and how they make the most from it. 12. What are benefits other than potential revenue generation? Word to mouth is a proven effective and efficient way of advertising your business. By being part of the Business Growth Programme, you will have the opportunity to promote your business, to increase visibility of your business, to build productive relationships, and to explore personal growth. 13. What is the cost? The Business Growth Programme is free and exclusively for all NZNCC members. 14. I am not a member. Can I still be part of the Business Growth Programme? Non-members are welcome to attend up to two meetings as a guest. After which, we expect the guests to be our members to continue to benefit from the Business Growth Programme. 15. I am keen, what do I do next? If you are a NZNCC member, you are welcome to attend our next meeting. Keep an eye on your email and our members only chat group for updates and details. 16. I have more questions about the Business Growth Programme. Who do I contact? Please email us at hello@nzncc.co.nz and one of our team members will get in touch. [FAQ: BG V.1 (3 August 2026) ]
